Alfonso de Angotia Noriega’s Transition from Law to Dominating the Media

     Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega is the Executive Vice President and Director of Grupo Televisa S.A. Born in Mexico on January 17, 1962, Alfonso attended the University of Namibia, located in Mexico. There Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega majored in Law with a Bachelor’s Degree. Before joining Grupo Televisa, Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega worked at the White and Case LLP, New York. After working with White & Case for some time, Alfonso went on to co-found Mijjares, Angoitia, Cortes y Fuentes S.C. For some time Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega was the personal lawyer of Emilio Azcarraga. Emilio Azcarraga is the current Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Televisa. Mr. Emilio rose to this position after the death of his father Emilio Azcarraga Milmo. In 1999 Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega became the Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Televisa. In 2003, Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega became the VP of the firm. Over the years, he has worked tirelessly hand in hand with Emilio Azcarraga and other employees to financially and legally restructure Group Televisa.

Alfonso is considered a financial mastermind due to his impeccable ability to bring about great financial ideas that have really helped Grupo Television get to where it is.
